Morgan - Thanks for all your post..i'm new to your blog and to editing photographs (trying to come up with a standard, but it's hard..) anyhoo, i can't really tell from the tutorial how to do it. is it in elements? lightroom? i'm basic in my knowledge of all this right now. thanks so much!
It should be in everything. You can get it to creating an adjustment layer (it is in your layers palette, the circle that is half white half black, and select levels). Or by enhance>adjust lighting>levels
