Tutorial: 300 movie style

So after a discussion in a flickr group I decided to give it a go. This is my version of a 300 movie style edit. I'm still not sure if I like it. This is the before and after. I'm going to get some feedback and if everyone seems to agree I will do a tutorial on how to get the effect.
